Haena Beach Park
Beach and park area are popular. However, strong currents, dangerous shorebreak, high surf, a sudden drop off, sharp coral and slippery rocks prevent swimming here.

Hanalei Bay
Hanalei Bay is lined with white, sandy beach. Famous surfing beach. Beautiful in the morning as the cliffs reflect off the water.

Kauapea Beach (also known as Secret Beach)
One of the most secluded beaches on Kauai, has now become Kauai's premier nude beach, although County authorities attempt to enforce the nudity ban. Accessible via a 10-minute, steep hike. Long golden-sand beach with a small waterfall. Calm waters, often filled with dolphin, during the summer, but treacherous conditions during the winter.

Kee Beach
One of the most visited beaches in Kauai. The mini-series "The Thorn Birds" was filmed here. Lagoon is great for snorkeling, lots of fish.

Lumahai Beach
Location of that famous "Wash that man right out of my hair" scene from South Pacific. Great photo opp. Long, wide, sandy beach. Extremely unsafe water here for swimming due to strong currents and fierce surf.

Moloaa Bay
This pristine white sand beach served as the location for the pilot of Gilligan's Island. Usually not very crowded. Has an area of active, large waves, but on the other side of the bay has very calm water good for swimming in summer months. Lots of rocks and reef for interesting snorkeling.

Pali Ke Kua Beach (also known as Hideaways)
Two beaches separated by a rocky point. Good snorkeling and swimming with calm seas.

Puu Poa Beach
Great white sand beach. Swimming good in summer months. Surfing is excellent for experienced surfers in the winter months.
