	Lahaina Visit Lahaina, an historic, charming Whaler's Village. Once Hawaii's capitol, Lahaina is still on the National Register of Historic Places. Plan to spend the day, there's lots to do: Over 40 fine art galleries, loads of fun shops, huge variety of restaurants, Lahaina's Historic Trail, and the largest banyan tree in the U.S. (covers almost an acre, over 60 feet high). Every Friday night in Lahaina is Art Night, year round. Stroll through dozens of art galleries in Lahaina every Friday from 7 to 10 pm for special gallery shows, featured artists, and refreshments, all free and open to the public! A walking map of participating galleries is available in the Lahaina Visitor Center (open daily from 9 am to 5 pm).
