Consider scheduling your Haleakala Sunrise Downhill bike tour on the first day of your vacation. Due to the time change you will probably be waking up considerably earlier than normal. Why not take advantage of the time and spend your first day doing something exciting? Book your tour as far in advance as possible, especially during peak season.

Due to safety regulations, all bike tours must start their rides outside of Haleakala National Park at 6,700 feet. If a company is advertising that you will bike from the summit they have not updated their information.

If you are uncomfortable riding a bike, you should sit this one out or ride along in the van. If this is something you would really like to do, get back on your bike before coming to Maui.
