Oahu Whale Watching Tours |
There are not too many more exciting things than watching a 40 ton mammal throw its' entire body out of the water (breaching). Sometimes as early as September, through April, Humpback Whales make their journey to Hawaii every year to mate and raise their young. Your best chances for seeing a lot of whales are in February and March. You may see humpback babies travelling with their mothers, learning humpback behaviors such as breaching, tail and pec slapping. Most tour operators will have a naturalist on board to provide you with Humpback facts. If you are lucky, the whales will come to you as they did in this great Whale Watch Video. (Law prohibits boats from approaching whales within a distance of less than 100 feet.) Many whale watches have a whale sighting guarantee: If you don't see whales, your next whale watch is free! |
